In our most recent LAMDA exams our students achieved 100% pass rate with 100% at the highest grade of DISTINCTION!

Sessions focus on the vocals, staging and choreography of abridged versions of popular musicals such as Legally Blonde, Miss Saigon, Little Shop of Horrors, Bugsy Malone, Mary Poppins, Wicked, Rent, Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot, Grease, Matilda, Stomp, Chicago, Into The Woods, Shrek, A Chorus Line and many more!

These abridged versions are showcased to an invited audience in the Summer Term. In the Autumn term KYMT are heavily involved in the Kindred pantomime which is performed in December.

There are opportunities for both group and solo performances throughout KYMT .These fab sessions are led by our experienced KYMT team!

KYMT LAMDA

These sessions are mixed age but are grouped according to ability to prepare for yearly optional examinations (extra fees attached). The same skills are covered as in our normal KYMT sessions but with a focus on collaboration and devising for an examination rather than just performance based.

These exams encourage young people to develop practical team-working skills. The ability to sing as a chorus and/or in harmony demands that everybody listen to every other person in the group and work with them to produce a performance that is in tune and in time.

  • they help build confidence

  • they help prepare for drama school

  • they can replace or supplement GCSE or A Levels

  • LAMDA Exams gain UCAS points

  • they help improve presentation skills
